St. Peter’s Parish Ministry Resource Coordinator (Stewardship) |

The duties and responsibilities of the St. Peter’s Ministry resource coordinator are as follows:
- Serve as the Parish Volunteer Screening Coordinator, including orientation and education sessions for ministry leaders and volunteers regarding risk assessment and volunteer screening requirements,
- Assist the Pastor and office staff with Stewardship Recruitment events,
- Develop a ministry coordination team to build a cohesive communication model among all ministries at the Parish,
- Recommend to the Pastor, ministry leaders and volunteers to serve the Parish,
- Ensure that ministry manuals and support materials are available for all ministries in support of volunteers performing varies tasks and roles,
- Prepare information for the Bulletin on a weekly basis informing the Parish through a “Ministry of the Week” article,
- Research training and education opportunities for ministry leaders to develop their ministry and their faith.
Ministry Resource Team (MRT)
Purpose: To lead, recruit and provide the support infrastructure for safe and vibrant Parish ministries
Objectives:
- To ensure the safety of minors and vulnerable people served and serving in ministries
- To lay and sustain a foundation of information, training and recruitment of volunteers into the key ministries of St. Peter’s Parish
Membership:
- The chairperson is the Ministry Coordinator.
- The members are the volunteers who develop and execute activities of the committee, such as education and training.
- The Pastor or his delegate is an ex-officio member of the MRT
Committee Members & Structure:
- The committee will be chaired by the Ministry Coordinator, and will include a Vice Chair, a secretary and two members
- The members are appointed by the Pastor on the recommendation of the Chair
- The committee will be comprised of volunteers with interest in promoting safe and effective ministries as outlined in the Parish Family Communication Tree
- The chair will be responsible for facilitating the meetings and the delivery reports to the Pastor and the Parish Council
Key Duties and Responsibility:
- To provide ideas and initiatives for promoting ministries to serve in and on behalf of St. Peter’s Parish
- To assist in recruiting volunteers to ministries
- To ensure all Parish and diocesan policies and guidelines are adhered to.
Committee Authority: The committee is accountable to the Pastor of the Parish. The committee has no authority to take any action with respect to ministries, recruitment or volunteer management until approved by the Pastor.
